GOD: THE MYTH THE BELIEF
A disclaimer before some folks misinterpret:

Q: Do I believe in god?
A: YES
Q: Which one?
A: The almighty god who is not man made.
I am talking about the one who made everything, not the one we made. Let me start with a story.
Once upon a time in stone age, a lightning struck a tree and caused forest fire. One Neanderthal asked another one the reason of lightning. Due to lack of knowledge the other one said, "People from sky." Slowly slowly the whole tribe started to worship those "people", now known as GODS.
In time many such incidence happened which made different different tribes believe in god. All of them had different perception for god. All had different stories, mostly rumours. People started to use the name of god to prove that whatever they are saying is true or whatever they are doing is the right way. Thus rituals were born. Most of them were superstitions. Many tribes combined their stories to form a bigger and superior community. this gave birth to mythology, for example: Greek mythology, Norse mythology, Hindu mythology. Many great authors of those time wrote books on those stories such as: Ramayana, Bhagwat Geeta, Bible, etc.
The stories were great with morals and lessons about how one should live a life, but people took them really seriously. And they are still doing it. To explain my point, here is another story.
One of my friends likes these popular comic books. He enjoy reading them, watching movies and animated series based on them. He is mostly talking about them, especially small details he noticed and fan theories.He also had action figures and rare collectibles too. Recently his parents grounded him because they thought he was getting mad because of that. They took all his comic books and stuff. They doesn't even let him watch anything related to it either.
The other day when I visited his house to meet him, I saw his father doing "POOJA" (worshiping gods in hindu rituals). While his mother was on phone saying,"Don't worry. God keeps eye on everything."
After a couple of hours when I was leaving, I noticed his parents watching a T.V series based on a holy book of hindu mythology, "Ramayana" and discussing the details that the series missed but were mentioned in the book.
Now, I agree that he should concentrate more on his studies, but the fact is that he just enjoys reading them and he at least agrees that those are just virtual stories. Full of moral, but not true.He is at least not depending on them , believing they are watching his back. He is at least not talking to them, believing they are listening. He is at least not worshiping the action figures or following any dangerous rituals mentioned in those books. Please tell me, who is obsessed with their imaginary friend.
Q: Why don't we consider the proofs in written format, that we found in the ruins of previous civilisation?
A: Consider the upcoming apocalypse, which can be delayed for 100-200 years but is inevitable due to consequences of human activities. In that case if earth is wiped out and the species after us find the comic books, action figures and collectibles from the ruins of my friend's room, does this prove that all those stories were real?
In conclusion I would just like to say that, I believe in the god who created this perfect universe. The one about whom no one knows. The one who created even gravity (the weakest force) so perfectly. Consider if it was a little bit less everything would fall apart, but if it was a little bit more everything would collapse into each other. Still, these are my views. I didn't mean to offend anyone. In case I did, I apologise.
